SpeechStudio (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates both the SpeechStudio macOS application and the speechstudio.ai website. We are committed to transparency.

2. Application Privacy (The macOS App)

We practice Zero-Knowledge architecture for the SpeechStudio application.

Local Processing: All video analysis, silence removal, and transcription happens locally on your Mac using on-device AI models. Your media files never leave your device.
No Telemetry: The application does not track your behavior or usage patterns.
License Validation: To validate your license, the app communicates with Lemon Squeezy’s servers.

3. Website Privacy (speechstudio.ai)

The data we collect on our website is strictly for operational and analytical purposes.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregated traffic patterns (e.g., visitor counts, page views). This data is anonymized and helps us improve the site.

Hosting

Our website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may log basic request information (IP address, user agent) for security and DDoS protection purposes.

Cookies

We use cookies for:

Essential Functions: Managing your privacy preferences and cart state.
Analytics: Google Analytics cookies (if consented).

4. Payments & Licensing

We use Lemon Squeezy as our Merchant of Record.

Data Handling: When you purchase a license, Lemon Squeezy securely handles your payment information. We (SpeechStudio) do not see or store your credit card details.
Access: We only receive your email and name to provide customer support and license recovery.
